In LMP2, the first two teams, G-Drive Racing and Idec Sport, are only separated by 9 points which means that the victory in Spa could decide who will become the 2019 champions.
The Russian team is on 81 points thanks to two victories in Monza and Barcelona, a second place in Silverstone last month and a fourth place, and a pole position, at the opening round of the season in Le Castellet.
Idec Sport won their first ever ELMS race in Silverstone last month and hope to duplicate this achievement next week in Belgium. Third in the LMP2 standing is Graff with 53 points.
In the LMP3 class, the classification is also very tight, with only 7 points separating class leaders Inter Europol Competition and Eurointernational. The battle the for title in Spa could point the way to the final destination of the 2019 LMP3 titles.
The n°13 Inter Europol Competition Ligier is on 76 points with Nigel Moore and Martin Hippe taking the victory in Barcelona and scoring three podium finishes during the first part of the season. The n°11 Eurointernational Ligier is on 69 points, while in third position in the LMP3 class is the n°2 United Autosports Ligier with 53 points.
Finally, in LMGTE, Luzich Racing with the Ferrari 488 GTE Evo n°51 is leading the class with 77 points. Alessandro Pier Guidi, Fabien Lavergne and Mikkel Mac scored two wins in Le Castellet and Monza as well as a third place in Barcelona and finished 4th in Silverstone last month.
Just behind, with 56 points, there are no less than three teams: Dempsey Proton Racing with the n°77 Porsche 911 RSR, Kessel Racing with its n°83 Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 GTE EVO and the n°66 JMW Motorsport Ferrari 488 GTE EVO.
The classifications of the 2019 European Le Mans Series is tight in all the categories which shows well the quality and high level of competition of the continental Serie.
