Spa-Francorchamps: polemen reactions

ELMS - 21/09/2019 - Sophie LIGER

Filipe Albuquerque (LMP2): “This car has been really amazing in Free Practice 1 and FP2, we were the quickest.  Obviously I am happy with pole position with such a big gap, so it is very promising for the race.  For the race, no one can control the weather and we don’t waste energy worrying about it. We will just deal with what we have in front of use, so if it starts to rain we will fit the rain tyres.  We know that Phil is very, very quick, so we are going to rely on our speed and our work as a team.  We know we are strong.”

David Droux (LMP3): “I am very happy, it has been a long season, we’ve had some problems which have been difficult to fix.  We found something this weekend to make the car work and I had a nice car to drive.  I pushed as hard as I could but it is quite a big surprise to have such a big gap, but it feels good.”

Matteo Cairoli (LMGTE): “The lap was good but it was not easy this time because on the first set of tyres I had Ale Pier Guidi behind me, who was pushing hard and forced me into a mistake in The Bus Stop.  So I was a little bit under pressure and I had to restart from zero with the second set.  I was driving alone, so there was no pressure from the others.  The car was just very good to drive; it is a very strong car.”
